After starting to explore this process, I am really interested in continuing it. I especially like Suzy Allman’s work. I feel like it is beginning a conversation of what each person is made of, which I enjoy. That idea was something that crossed my mind when I was on my last roll and I would like to pursue it at some point. I also really like Duane Michal’s photo. The idea of doing a person within another person could lead to lots of interesting themes.

  2. These are very interesting. They are off-putting to me, almost like you are seeing something you aren’t supposed to be seeing. I appreciate the uniqueness of the images; I haven’t seen anything like them, which is getting harder and harder to say these days. I also really admire how beauty is combined with an almost grotesque quality. Extremely fascinating ideas.

  3. I really enjoy this work. It is bizarre and otherworldly but in a way that draws you in. Each picture is like a whole new environment to explore. And even in its strangeness it retains this beautiful, elegant quality. His work doesn’t seem cluttered or too busy even though there is a lot going on in some of them.

  4. I agree with Amy. I have admired Avedon’s work for a while now and its mainly because of his ability to capture personality and feeling. His portraits make me believe they are an honest representation of who that person is. I especially love the ones with white backdrops. It’s so unique compared with how we normally see people presented and in some way that draws me in to see the beauty and humanity more intensely.

  5. I love this concept as a way of bringing the outside in. It’s almost like he is conjuring up a way to explore while laying in your room. It provides a unique way of connecting yourself to what is going on around you. I would have loved to have been able to do this when I was young.

  6. This is such an interesting idea to me. I’m an avid people watcher so I love the concept of taking photographs of the unusual and intriguing people you see while out. I like too that Arbus’s work is so straightforward and yet there is so much drama in them.
