Dear Colleagues:
Thank you for the time and effort you spend considering this portfolio, which contains evidence and personal reflection in support of my application for tenure and promotion. I hope that this site is easily navigable, and that in reading through it, you are able to gain some sense of who I am as an ACU professor, scholar, and colleague. The evidence and reflection in this portfolio seek to convey, most fundamentally, that I enjoy my work as a history and global studies professor at ACU and have a strong sense of vocation for this work, that I teach effectively and influence students’ minds and hearts towards critical and Christ-oriented thinking, and that I have grown and will continue to grow as a teacher, scholar, and colleague. By submitting this portfolio for your review, I apply for tenure and for promotion to the rank of associate professor.
The portfolio is divided into five major sections: Teaching, Scholarship, Service, Collegiality, and CV. Each of these major sections, with the exception of the CV, is subdivided further. You may navigate through the portfolio in a suggested linear fashion by following the links at the bottom of each page, or you may use the menus at the beginning of each of the major sections. For your immediate reference and ease of navigation, I include links to all of my annual reviews with my department chairs, student evaluations of my courses, and letters of support from colleagues and former students here:
