Our search for men and women who embody exemplary faith and leadership at work, home, and beyond leads us this week to Jody Lee. Jody is currently serving as the VP of Marketing at Cadence McShane Construction in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Recently, one of our students was able to touch base with Jody along with people who know him well. Here’s more about Jody:
Jody Lee excelled at ACU, earning an undergraduate business degree in 1999 and a graduate degree in missions in 2006. He says that he tries to display faithful leadership in his day-to-day life by putting people first in everything he does. “I try to listen, encourage and challenge – in that order,” said Lee. He said that he strives to put others before himself, because that is what God has called us to do. The consensus among those that know Jody is that he is not only exceptional as a marketing professional, he is also an all-around great person. Anyone who meets Jody knows first hand that he loves the Lord and seeks Him with all of his heart. He has consistently followed God’s call as it relates to his career, his family, and his church.
What is the greatest lesson you learned from your time at ACU?
Spend time investing in things that matter (faith, friends, service….) and those investments will pay dividends your entire life.
What advice would you give to incoming students on growing in their faith while attending ACU?
Seek out community, friends/faculty/mentors, that challenge you and help you grow spiritually. Be bold and prayerfully take risks and try new things.
Thank you Jody Lee for your example of faith and leadership!
