Carol and I are very excited for our internship in the Bronx. This week, we had some interviews with our classmates, Amanda, Ben, and Jordan, who had an internship in the Bronx in 2007. Through the stories they told us, we learned more about the people, the fellowship and the mission they were doing. All of the things they were doing are very interesting to me. I am would like to tell my favorite story I heard from Jordan.

Here is the audio and pictures:

Can we pray for you

What I observed from the audio is that the table is how different people react to the prayer table. Some people thought they needed to pay the money for the prayer. Only few people refused the prayer, because it will not harm them. I could see how many people need help and sometimes they do not know where they can get the help they need. Jordan and his partner just set a table, and let God help them. This reflects on us, because we will not know what it is going to happen when we are there. We cannot control things and we want the Holy Spirit to guide us in what to do. We are preparing how to observe the things that happening around us, how to understand and how to reflect.  This will be very useful for us when we get there. There will be so much potential and so many opportunities that we can discover of how to serve the people in the Bronx.
