Partnering in the Journey Campaign Crosses Halfway Mark

by   |  08.22.13  |  Announcements, Recognition

The $50 million Partnering in the Journey Campaign for endowed student scholarships topped $25 million this summer, thanks in part to the estate of Virginia Heacock. Virginia, a longtime ExxonMobil employee, never went to college or even set foot on the ACU campus, but in 1995 she established an endowment at ACU for student scholarships, to which her estate transferred more than $4 million upon her death in May. The $25 million in new endowment equates to roughly an additional $1 million annually for student scholarships.

Benefits Tip – 2014 Wellness Premiums

by   |  08.19.13  |  Announcements, Benefits

Employees who plan to elect health coverage for calendar year 2014 and choose to have a preventive exam (i.e. a physical or a well woman visit) between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013 will pay a lower monthly premium in calendar year 2014 than those who do not. It’s that simple. Make an appointment with your doctor for your FREE preventive exam and save money in 2014. The 2014 premium rates will be determined later this year, and they will be announced in annual enrollment meetings in the fall.

As a reminder, if your physician codes your visit as preventive, you do not need to fill out the verification form to turn in.  If your doctor codes the visit differently, please have him or her fill out the form for you to turn in to the Benefits Helpline.

Visit the 2014 Wellness Premium page for FAQ’s or contact Human Resources at 2359 orhumanresources@acu.edu.
