Weekly Workday Update

by   |  11.17.25  |  Announcements, Workday

We are just 21 days from our Workday launch! The response to our training sessions has been great so far!. Please check out the training calendar to find any sessions relevant to your role that you haven’t attended yet. All training sessions after the Thanksgiving break are going to be offered virtually only. This is a change from our initial plan, but we think this format will best serve the remaining training audiences.

We are also seeking feedback on the training sessions we have done so far. If you have attended any of these training sessions, please take a moment to fill out this feedback form. You can continue to fill this out for future training sessions as well.

Weekly Workday Update

by   |  10.20.25  |  Announcements, Workday

We are less than two months away from our launch of Workday for the ACU Campus. Here is your weekly update:

  • Our team is finalizing configuration before everything is loaded into what will be our final production Workday environment. A lot of work has been done to get to this moment! If you see someone from HR, Finance, or IT let them know what a great job they are doing!
  • We have updated our site to list all the training sessions we will be doing starting in November. We will be updating that page with locations and Zoom links over the next week, but you can go ahead and put the necessary times on your calendar. Click on “Training” in the upper right corner.
  • We want to know how aware campus is about the upcoming changes. Please take a moment to fill out this form to let us know.

As always, if you have any questions, please email workdaytransition@acu.edu.

Weekly Workday Update

by   |  10.13.25  |  Announcements, Workday

The launch of our Workday system is quickly approaching! As we move toward our December go-live date, we will begin providing weekly updates on the project so that everyone can be aware of the progress and expectations. – Feedback from our Workday Experience Sessions has been overwhelmingly positive with 2/3 people already feeling confident in their ability to navigate the system out of the gate. Some quotes from the sessions include: “Very user friendly!” “Simple to use.” “Everything is one place and it is much more user friendly.” – With Workday you will have the ability to navigate the system in a native mobile app for iOS and Android. You’ll be able to get notifications when things need approval and complete those items on the go with a single tap! – As a reminder, we’ll begin training sessions in earnest coming in November. Keep checking in for more information to come. As always, if you have questions, you can email workdaytransition@acu.edu or visit our site at acu.edu/workday transition.

Weekly Workday Update

The launch of our Workday system is quickly approaching. As we move towards our December go-live date, we will begin providing weekly updates on the project so that campus can be aware of the progress and expectations. – Last week, we held our Workday Experience Sessions with about 50 members from both the Abilene and Dallas campuses. This provided a small group a first hands-on look into Workday. Thank you to everyone who participated and provided such valuable feedback. – Our website has been updated with some demonstration videos that you can check out to get a feel for what Workday is going to look like. – Keep an eye out on this section as we get closer to November. In November we will begin launching Workday Training sessions in earnest. There will be frequent training opportunities both in-person and virtually. – As we transition systems, there are some key dates that you may need to be aware of, depending on your role. Please keep an eye on your email for direct communication about some of those dates. For more information about the project, please visit our website. Any questions can be sent to workdaytransition@acu.edu.

Temporary Delay in HR Response Time

by   |  05.15.25  |  Announcements, Workday

Human Resources is currently focused on testing the first build of Workday throughout May. As a result, our response time may be delayed.

During the next three weeks, we are prioritizing mission-critical tasks and may be unable to assist with other projects. If you have questions:

  • For insurance-related inquiries, please contact Elsa Dunson directly.
  • For all other HR matters, email Human Resources as usual.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. Your questions are important to us, and we will respond as soon as possible—it just may take a bit longer than usual during this time.

Our Workday project is moving forward, and we want your input! Your feedback will help us understand expectations, preferred training methods, and what success looks like for our campus community. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey to help us as we make plans for the implementation of this new system. You can take the survey at this link.

Workday Transition Project

by   |  03.03.25  |  Announcements, Workday

As announced at the end of last year, ACU is transitioning to Workday, a leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform to replace our 20-year-old Ellucian Banner system. We are now hard at work in the planning phase of this project. For more details on the timeline or to stay up-to-date on the progress of this project, we’ve created a central website at acu.edu/workdaytransition. Any questions can be directed to workdaytransition@acu.edu.
