Faculty and staff are invited to the Staff Senate Town Hall meeting this Thursday, February 20 at 8:30 a.m. in the Campus Center Living Room.   Anthony Williams and Lisa Flores will present an overview of Business Services (the income that Business Services brings to the University and the departmental savings that they are working on… things that are already in place and things to come). There will be two gift certificates given as door prizes. Please join us!

University Purchasing and Warehouse is instituting a soft close during the ACU Spring Break, March 10 – 14th.  A soft close will include receiving in-coming shipments and phone calls only. If there is a need for any shipments that arrive, the warehouse will be open and available for you to pick up. There will not be any deliveries made, including warehouse stock orders or an afternoon pick up for out-going shipments or overnights. There are overnight drop boxes located the Campus Center, or you may leave your ground packages at the Campus Store dock by the back door of the Campus Store receiving area. ACU’s Inclement Weather Procedures regarding delays, closures, or early release are regulated by a committee. ACU makes every effort to maintain normal operational hours even during inclement weather.  In the event that the University’s regular business operations are impacted due to weather conditions, announcements regarding the delay or closure will be made as early as possible. The primary form of communication to announce a closure or delay is the ACU ALERT system. The ACU ALERT system will notify all users by text message and/or email in the event of inclement weather or other critical incidents that occur on or around campus.  To learn more or to register for ACU ALERT.

If you had HCA funds left at the end of 2013, ACU is doing a transition payout at 40 cents on the dollar.  We are waiting 45 days for claims to finalize for the end of 2013. Once we have the finalized HCA balances from Blue Cross, we will process the HCA transition payout to be deposited to your HSA on the nonexempt 2/28/14 paycheck and the exempt 2/28/14 paycheck.
