Surveillance Camera Policy

by   |  07.28.14  |  Announcements

Did you know that the university has an extensive system of interior and exterior surveillance cameras across campus? These camera systems are controlled and coordinated through the ACU Police Department and are intended to make our campus community safer, deter crime, and aid in investigations conducted by ACUPD. The current Surveillance Camera Policy can be viewed here. Please be reminded that all ACU facilities and departments are required to coordinate this process through ACUPD to ensure compliance and system compatibility. Questions can be directed to ACUPD via email at acupolice@acu.edu.

Football 101 for Moms

by   |  07.28.14  |  Announcements, Events

ACU head football coach Ken Collums and his coaching staff will host a women’s camp called “Football 101 For Moms” on the evening of Thursday, July 31.  The cost of the session will be $25 per mom and will be from 6-8:30 p.m. at both the Teague Special Events Center and the Wally Bullington Practice Field, both on the ACU campus.  All ACU employees will receive $5 off.

Coach Collums and the ACU football staff invite the Abilene area moms to a unique football experience tailored toward the basics of football. Through “Football 101 For Moms” the foundational concepts of the game such as terms, rules, officiating, drills, safety, technique, and scheme will be discussed and demonstrated by ACU football coaches. There will be both classroom and field time, which will include a question and answer session, offense and defense presentations, game footage discussions, and on-field drills. When moms have completed this experience they will have more insight into the great game in which their sons and husbands have competed, and they will have had a lot of fun! Moms will begin to see the game of football from a different perspective whether it’s from the stands or watching TV. Come join us for the first-of-its-kind football experience for moms in the Abilene area. Football 101 is open to all women interested in expanding their football knowledge.

Faculty/Staff Parking Permits

by   |  07.18.14  |  Announcements

All faculty/staff employees are reminded that the current Faculty/Staff Parking Permits (F/S Permits) will expire on August 15th. The new 2014-15 F/S Permits are now available at NO CHARGE during regular ACUPD lobby hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please make sure to obtain your new F/S Permit so that you don’t receive any citations for displaying an expired permit. (FREE permit versus $20 citations, you do the math!)

While the initial F/S Permit is FREE, remember that as always, replacement permits issued due to theft/loss or for 2nd vehicles are $5 each.  Also, please remember to fill out a new F/S Vehicle Registration Form or bring in your current vehicle info (make/model/color and license plate #) so that our records will be up to date.

Questions can be directed to ACUPD via email at acupolice@acu.edu or by calling ACUPD Office Manager Teri Tilly at ext. 2305.
