If you do not wish to have your personal information (home address and phone number) published in the 2015-16 Hello Book Faculty/Staff section, please change your Directory Profile in Banner by Friday, August 28, 2015.  To do this, go to the Personal Information tab on your myACU Banner page.  Select Directory Profile and remove the check from the Permanent Address and/or Permanent Telephone box under the Display in Directory column.  Please make sure to select Submit Changes.  This is the only way to ensure that your personal information is not included.  The Hello Book staff cannot remove your personal information from the report.

As a reminder, following tomorrow’s new student move-in, all faculty and staff and their families are invited to a  BBQ in the mall area outside the Campus Center. Dinner will be served from 5:00-6:45.  Seating will be available on a limited basis, so feel free to bring blankets or lawn chairs.  Please register for dinner here.  This will be followed at 7:00 by a Student Blessing in Moody Coliseum and Candlelight Devotional.  Please come welcome our new students and their families!

Even after you are hired to work at ACU the Background Check &Self-Reporting policy requires that individuals must disclose to the Office of Human Resources any and all felony or misdemeanor arrests or convictions that occur after the date of hire.  Failure to self-report any arrest or conviction is a terminable offense. This does not include minor traffic offenses (Class C) unless the individual is a Routine Driver under the ACU’s Driver Policy.  The purpose of the policy is to maintain a safe and secure campus environment and protect the university’s financial and physical assets by establishing a formal process for screening, background checks and self-reporting.

Over the next few weeks, Malwarebytes ​will be installed ​across campus​ for faculty/staff windows machines via a group policy​. Malwarebytes is an application that will run in conjunction with Sophos (antivirus) to help protect your machine from popup windows and other phishing websites. The installation will begin when you log in or restart your machine. Once the installation is complete you will notice a new desktop icon. Malwarebytes will automatically run behind the scenes for you. There should be no other action required. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Helpdesk, x4357.

PAF/ePAF Reminder – Effective Monday, August 3, if HR receives a paper PAF for any of the following transactions, the PAF will be returned to the originator so that it can be submitted as an ePAF.

Student – Hiring, Rate Change, Termination

Nonexempt Staff – Hiring, Rate Change, Termination

Temporary Staff – Hiring, Termination

Exempt Staff – 1x pay/Supplemental

Faculty – Part-time Hiring; Faculty Supplemental, Research, Overload, 1x pay (new) and Faculty Supplemental for Department Chair (new)

Payroll/HR is in the process of adding instructions for two new Faculty ePAFs. Be watching the HR website for those to be listed soon. If you have questions, please contact humanresources@acu.edu

Staff Pre-Session will be Tuesday, August 4, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.in the Hunter Welcome Center. All offices should close or be staffed by student employees to allow all staff to attend the event.
