The annual WACU Christmas food and craft fair will be held in the lobby of the ACU Museum (corner of Campus Court and EN 16th St) 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 10. They will be selling homemade candies, cookies, pies, cakes and sweet breads, along with craft items such as jewelry, toys, Christmas decorations and other gifts.

The Cashier’s Office and Financial Operations offices will be open from 8 a.m. to noon only on Monday Dec. 7th. We will reopen regular hours Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Everyone is invited to a come-and-go farewell party for Mathew Bardwell on Friday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Adam’s Center. Mathew has worked at ACU for almost 8 years. He started in the Online Graduate program and has worked as a Media Production Specialist in the Learning Studio for the last four years. Mathew is moving to Georgetown, TX to work for First Baptist Church as the Director of Media.

Please plan to join Dr. Schubert and other members of the Senior Leadership Team for a faculty/staff meeting today, Mon., Nov. 30, in Hart Auditorium from 4-5 p.m. to receive updates on various campus initiatives and for a Q&A time.

By now, you should have received a note in campus mail regarding our annual United Way campaign. Our campaign ends on December 4 and we still need your gift to help make a big impact on Abilene. Remember, any amount is appreciated; even $5 a month can be used to help someone in critical need. You can email the completed form to uw@acu.edu or return it to Human Resources at ACU Box 29106 by December 1.

University Procurement Office and Warehouse will be closed for normal business during the break beginning Monday, December 14th through Friday, January 8th. During the close we will be accepting all incoming shipments (UPS, FedEx and freight) and phone calls only. If there is a need for any shipments that arrive, the warehouse will be open and available for you to pick up. There will not be any deliveries made, including warehouse stock orders, outgoing shipment pick-ups or recycling.  For your outgoing packages, there are overnight drop boxes located in the Campus Center, or you may leave your ground packages at the Campus Store dock by the back door of the Campus Store receiving area for UPS or FedEx pick-ups. Please join us for a farewell reception honoring Dr. Allison Garrett, Executive Vice President. There will be a come-and-go reception celebrating Allison’s service to ACU on Tuesday, December 1, from 3:30-5:00 p.m., in the Hunter Welcome Center, East Lobby. Dr. Schubert will make a presentation at 4 pm. We hope you’ll take time to come by and visit with Allison and congratulate her upon her appointment as President of Emporia State University.

Please note that the correct pay date for the nonexempt pay cycle of 10/30-11/15 will be on Fri, Nov 27th. The payroll calendar had it listed as Wed, Nov 25, which was incorrect.
