Dr. Michael Ward is speaking for the Biology Department in Hart Auditorium this Friday, April 1, 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Dr. Michael Ward (C.S. Lewis scholar and author of Planet Narnia) will speak about “C.S. Lewis on the Role of Imagination and Reason in Science and Religion.”
Dr. Ward is a Senior Research Fellow at Blackbriars Hall, University of Oxford. He also served as Chaplain of St Peter’s College in the University of Oxford from 2009 to 2012 and as Chaplain of Peterhouse in the University of Cambridge between 2004 and 2007. He was resident warden of The Kilns, Lewis’s Oxford home, from 1996 to 1999.
Join Wildcats across Texas as we come together for a day of serving our communities! Abilene Wildcats are partnering with ACU Students’ Association, and you have the option to attend one of two projects: 1) Alameda Neighborhood Spring Clean, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Meet at the Alameda Community Center, 650 Corsicana Ave., promptly at 8:30 a.m. for a quick breakfast. We’ll then split up into groups to pick up trash around the neighborhood. Lunch will be provided for all participants at 1 p.m. 2)Red Thread Movement and Eternal Threads, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Meet in the CORE Classroom of the Brown Library at ACU. We’ll assist the Red Thread Movement and Eternal Threads in the threading and bagging of more 800 Red Thread bracelets. The finished bracelets will be sent to anti-trafficking groups across the country.

All faculty and staff are invited to An Evening with Max Lucado (’77), a benefit dinner celebrating the 50th anniversary of Friends of ACU Library. Join us at 6 p.m. Monday, April 25, in the McCaleb Conference Center, Hunter Welcome Center. Tickets are $40 per individual ticket. Table Sponsors ($1,000) will be listed in the program and receive an invitation to a private reception with the author, a photograph with him and two signed copies of his latest book, “Glory Days.”

HR has worked to create new and much improved ePAF instructions. We have tried to simplify these to be a more helpful tool when you need a guide for completing all types of ePAFs. Please visit the HR webpage, Payroll/ePAFs, for all the updated information.
What do you do when someone you love loses his/her faith? From emotional turmoil to relational challenges, families grapple with these faith issues as they live out family life. Panelists Dr. Cherisse Flanagan, Dr. Brent Isbell, and Dr. Carson Reed will offer an insightful and compassionate perspective on how families can face these challenges and know that they are not alone.
