Please plan to join the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for a retirement reception honoring Cheryl Mann Bacon for her 39 years of service at ACU. We will celebrate with her on Friday, April 20, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the JMC Network/Optimist newsroom, DMC room 210. Presentation at 2:30 p.m.

A retirement reception will be held for Dr. Larry Norsworthy on April 30 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Psychology Department reception area Mckinzie Hall 125.

Please plan to join the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition for a retirement reception honoring Joe Bell for his 33 years of service at ACU. We will celebrate him on Friday April 13, from 3-4:30 p.m., room 260A on the 2nd floor of the Student Recreation Center.

Please join the Department of Language and Literature for a retirement reception honoring Dr. Jeanine Varner for her 11 years of service at ACU, during which time she served in a variety of roles including department chair, dean, and provost. We will celebrate with her on Friday, May 4th from 2:00-3:00 p.m., in the Adams Center, room 241.

You are invited to a retirement celebration for Dr. Charlie Pruett’s 26 years of service to ACU and the gerontology community with a  come- and-go event on Wednesday, April 18, from 11:30-1:00 p.m. in the windowed atrium of the Williams Performing Arts Center. The atrium will also feature “Images of Aging” photo tribute submissions from the last seven years including the recent 2017-2018 submissions.

Please join the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition for a retirement reception honoring Lorraine Wilson for her 33 years of service at ACU. We will celebrate with her on Tuesday, April 17 from 3-4:30 p.m., in the Student Recreation Center, room 260A.

Please join the Department of Communication and Sociology in honoring Dr. Paul Lakey on Tuesday, April 10 from 2:30-4:00 p.m., for his 30 years of outstanding teaching, research, and service to the university. His reception will be in the Adams Center Classroom, and a special presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m. We hope you will be able to join us.

After years of service as Department Chair in Art & Design, a well loved and respected Professor and the artist behind Jacob’s Dream and countless other projects, Jack Maxwell will be retiring.  Join us in Shore Art Gallery (DMC) at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 30th at a reception to honor and bless Jack.
