We have new hours, new stamps and new management. Starting August 5th, we will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also have new stamps available for purchase at the window. The stamps are $0.55 each or you can buy a book of 20 for $11.00. Mail Services is now under the management of Holly Perry. If you have any questions or concerns, please give her a call at ext. 2865

Many of you are facing the challenge of personal travel details flowing into Concur. Due to the My Travel Network Connection within Concur many travel vendors have partnered with Concur to link their websites to members profiles (utilizing frequent traveler information).

TripLinkVendors is a document that provides a few examples of vendor websites and where in the booking process you select that your booking is personal so that they do not flow into Concur.

Brady Bryce, professor of Practical Theology and Director of Contextual Education, is leaving the Graduate School of Theology in a return to full time ministry as Senior Pastor of First Christian Albuquerque. He will begin his work in September. Brady taught for twelve years in College of Biblical Studies and directed ACU Summit for nine Summits.

Ta-Nehisi Coates writes in The Atlantic, “as many of our sharper activists and writers have pointed out, America’s struggle is to become not post-racial, but post-racist. Put differently, we should seek not a world where the black race and the white race live in harmony, but a world in which the terms black and white have no real political meaning.”

Though Austin was incredibly joyous by the election of the first Black president, Austin wasn’t convinced that America had become post-racial. Were you hopeful that America had become post-racial with the election of Barack Obama (even if you voted for another candidate)?

How do you define the difference between post-racial and post-racist?

Because Austin was pregnant as she wrote this book, she includes a letter to her son where she talks openly about the difficulties her son may face in his future and welcoming him into “a divine community of hope.” If you were to write a letter to someone you love, in what ways would you express how you hope America will change for the better?
