Please join the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs Search Committee as we introduce our three finalists for this position. We will have a reception for the three finalists on January 21, January 24 and January 31 from 3-4 p.m. in the Packer Forum on the 3rd floor of Brown Library. Each candidate will make a short presentation and there will also be a time to meet the candidates.
You are invited to attend a retirement reception to celebrate Kristi Thaxton’s 23 years of service to Abilene Christian University. The reception will be Thursday, January 23rd from 3:00-4:30 p.m., with a special recognition at 3:30 p.m., in the Hunter Welcome Center lobby. Applications and abstracts for the 2020 Undergraduate Research Festival are due on Friday, Jan. 24, by 5 p.m.
The ACU Undergraduate Research Festival, scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th, gives students an opportunity to present their research during concurrent sessions or as a poster. Students who present their research compete for Outstanding Presentation Awards in several categories. This year at the festival there will be a creative arts category for presentations focusing on digital, vocal, theatrical, and creative expression, as well as entries from the Images of Aging photography contest.

Please take a minute to look at your pay stub in myACU Banner so that you are aware of your earnings and deductions. Your elections from open enrollment for your 2020 benefit deductions will be seen for the first time on the Jan 10th paycheck. It’s important that you verify your deductions were set up as you expected. Failure to notify HR of a discrepancy in a timely manner could result in our inability to process a change.
Effective January 2020, ACU is making the transition from running monthly and semi-monthly payrolls to running a bi-weekly payroll for all employees. Details regarding the transition and FAQ’s can be found here. Additional information and FAQ’s will be added to this document as needed. Please email your questions to humanresources@acu.edu.
