SRWC Spring Break Hours

The SRWC will have adjusted hours during Spring Break. For details, see the SRWC Operating Hours calendar and the Pool Hours calendar at srwc.acu.edu. Please note that the SRWC will be closed on Friday, 3/13 & Saturday, 3/14 and group exercise classes will not meet 3/9-3/12.

Adobe Workshop: Vector Graphics

Raster images are made up of pixels and are dependent on resolution. When you scale these, they can become less defined. Vector graphics are made up of paths or lines that are scalable without compromising the resolution. In this session, you will learn to create vector graphics from raster images using Adobe Illustrator. These vector graphics can be used when creating ads or marketing material or even in Maker Lab projects. ACU Account Balance

Student Financial Services encourages all employees to login to the Wildcat Pay Portal, using your ACU email and password, to review your account history and make payment if necessary.  Payroll deductions can be arranged with Human Resources for balances over $200.  Please contact Hayleigh Honea at hrh18b@acu.edu or Chanse Frenette at crf19a@acu.edu with any questions.

Help Athletes Support Local Agency

Please help our student-athletes collect baby items for the Abilene Pregnancy Resource Center. You can bring these items to the Double Header Basketball games on February 29th against Central Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. We are needing diapers, wipes, bottles, formula etc. Please email Susan Hardcastle for more information.

Carter G. Woodson Event

In honor of Black History month, the Carl Spain Center presents Carter G. Woodson Student Lecture Series with special performances and an interview with former students of the Carter G. Woodson school, Abilene’s 1st public school for African Americans. The event will be Thursday, Feb. 27th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Walling Lecture Hall.

On-Site Biometric Screening

If you are enrolled in ACU’s medical plan and want an easy way to earn your credit for receiving your biometric screening, please schedule an appointment for one of our on-site screenings.

Onsite Screening Dates and Times:

Abilene – Hunter Welcome Center, Reeves Conference Room
February 26th, 27th, 28th 7:30-11:00 a.m.
March 18th, 7:30-11:00 a.m. (this day is intended as a makeup day if you are not able to attend the February dates)

Dallas – Crown Point Classroom

March 18th, 7:30-11:00 a.m.

Please know that the biometric screening can replace the lab work that you normally have completed with your annual exam.  You will be able to view your results within the new wellness app Mobile Health Consumer.  We would also encourage you to discuss your results with your doctor during your annual exam.

Lunch in the Lab w/Dr. Dennis Marquardt

Honors Luncheon & Colloquium Proposal

The Honors College would also like to invite you to join us for a luncheon in the Adams Center on March 5 to learn more about Honors colloquia and other ways to get involved with Honors on campus. There are a limited number of seats available for the luncheon, so please RSVP.

All faculty are welcome to submit Honors colloquium proposals for the 2020-2021 academic year. If you are ready with a colloquium idea, please submit your proposal. We would like to have all proposals by March 13th, but priority will be given to proposals we receive before Spring Break.
