Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival Abstract Submissions Applications and abstracts for the 2025 Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival at Abilene Christian University are due on Monday, February 3, 2025 by 5 p.m. The ACU Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in the Hunter Welcome Center. Please encourage students who have been working on research to submit an abstract. The International Students Association alongside the Office of Intercultural Engagement & Belonging is excited to invite faculty and staff with international backgrounds to participate in this year’s International Food Festival! This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the unique flavors and culinary traditions of your home country. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a home cook, we encourage you to share a dish that represents your culture and heritage. To learn more about the event and how you can get involved, please attend one of our upcoming interest meetings on Wednesday, January 22 or Tuesday, January 23 from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM in BSB112. You may attend either meeting that works best for you. We look forward to seeing you there and tasting your amazing creations!

Our next Headshot Day event will be held on January 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Davis-Tucker Conference Room (#328B), located on the second floor of the Library. This is a drop-in event, so there’s no need to sign up in advance—simply stop by at your convenience! If you’re unable to attend, don’t worry—we’ll host another session next fall. Photos will be available through Canto within 2-3 weeks following the event. While this initiative is entirely optional, we highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity!

Please take a minute to look at your pay stub in myACU Banner so that you are aware of your earnings and deductions. Your elections from open enrollment for your 2025 benefit deductions was seen for the first time on the Jan 3rd paycheck. It’s important that you verify your deductions were set up as you expected. Failure to notify HR of a discrepancy in a timely manner could result in our inability to process a change. If you need help locating your pay stub or have a question, please contact HR at x2359 or humanresources@acu.edu.

Holiday and Personal Day balances for 2025 will be loaded into your leave balance with the 1/17 payroll. This means that when entering in your holiday for New Years, you will get an “Insufficient Balance” warning. This can be ignored for this single payroll only. When that 1/17 payroll is processed, your new balances for the year will be added before deducting your reported leave.

Beginning the week of January 13th, the Finance Cashier hours of operation for the Spring semester will be changing to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
