Academic Leadership Changes

Dr. Carson Reed, Assistant Professor of Practical Theology will serve as Vice President for Church Relations and Director of the Siburt Institute, reporting to the Provost. Dr. Jaime Goff, Associate Professor and Chair of Marriage and Family Studies, has been appointed Associate Dean of the Graduate School. Jay Goin (’91) has been appointed Executive Director for the Graduate School. This year Dr. Eric Gumm, Registrar, also will serve as Interim Director of General Education, working alongside Dr. Greg Straughn, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The director/dean structure will function similarly to the department chair/dean structure. Drs. Gumm and Straughn will co-chair the University General Education Council.
