The National MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.” This year marks the fourth year the College of Education and Human Services (CEHS) will participate in the national MLK Day of Service. We embrace this opportunity to join together to love and serve our community and honor Dr. King’s legacy. This service opportunity is open to all ACU students, faculty and staff members. Lunch and T-shirt provided.
When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17. Where: Meet at 9 a.m. at SRWC 260 for check-in, T-shirt distribution and devotional. Sign up to participate here. At 9:30 we will go to 5340 Hartford St. to partner with Abilene ISD to help serve families experiencing homelessness.
