ACCESS ACU PHOTOS & LOGOS

The Marketing Division is excited to introduce Canto, a user-friendly platform designed for browsing and downloading a curated collection of official ACU photos and logos. This resource is available to all employees with an ACU email address.

How to Use Canto: Need a logo or professional photo for an ACU project? Canto serves as your go-to asset library for everything ACU! You can easily search for and download the logos or photos you need. To get started, watch this quick 60-second tutorial. Then, visit acu.canto.com and select “Login using SSO” to begin your search.

What to Expect: Canto features a carefully curated selection of the best photos from various ACU events and campus scenes. We will continuously update the library with new images to enhance your creative projects. You can also find ACU’s primary logos available for download, and as we move forward, expect additional logos to be added.

Tim Johnston Retirement Reception

Please help us honor the more than 3 decades of service Tim Johnston has given to ACU at a retirement celebration on Friday, Dec. 13 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm in the Mabee business building Petty Atrium. There will be a formal presentation at 3:45 pm.

Homecoming Parking and Street Closures

As we welcome Wildcats back to campus this week for Homecoming, there are several road closures and changes to parking for ACU faculty and staff. Specifically, watch for the following changes this Friday, Oct. 18: • Campus Court from the corner of East North 16th Street to East North 18th Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, until 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18. The Brown Library parking lot will still be accessible. • The north side parking lot of the Hardin Administration Building will be closed Thursday, Oct. 17, at 11 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 19, at 3 p.m. Thank you for your consideration as we welcome many guests to campus this weekend.

Homecoming Carnival – Offices Close Early Oct. 31

Offices will close at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, to allow faculty and staff to attend the Homecoming Carnival at 5 p.m. on the lawn of the Hardin Administration Building and Campus Court. Please display appropriate signage at your offices to notify students and visitors in advance. Registration required; $5 per child ages 2 and older. Children under 2 are free to attend.

Staff Lunches

Calling all staff! Let’s have lunch together! In an effort to encourage community among staff across departments, let’s meet in the Bean Smart Room monthly and have lunch together. This is a self-pay event this is intended to provide the opportunity for any staffers looking for community to connect. Accidents & Incidents Reporting

All accidents and incidents (regardless of severity) occurring in the workplace or during an ACU-sponsored event must be reported promptly, not exceeding 48 hours. An Accident/Incident Report is available on the Office of Institutional Compliance & Risk Management website. The form should be completed for all accidents/incidents regardless of whether anyone was injured. If you have any questions, please contact Risk Management at risk@acu.edu.

University Driver Policy & Required Passenger List

If you operate vehicles for university business, please follow the University Driver Policy (Policy No. 740). Departments are required to maintain a list of their Routine Drivers (as defined in the policy) and share the list annually with Risk Management. Routine drivers must have a motor vehicle record check (MVR) conducted each year and complete an online driver safety training course every five years. Risk Management can provide both links and review MVR or driver training completion history if needed. Also, all trips with passengers must submit a passenger list to Risk Management before departure. The passenger list must include each traveler’s first and last name, Banner ID, cell phone, and emergency contact information. The list must be emailed to risk@acu.edu before departure. Richard Beck Book Release Party – Oct. 15

Please join the Saunders Center for Joy & Human Flourishing as we celebrate the release of Dr. Richard Beck’s newest book, The Shape of Joy: The Transformative Power of Moving Beyond Yourself. On Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Beck will be at Seven and One Books in downtown Abilene, signing copies of his new book and reading select passages.
