Sign-ups Open for the Faulkner Center Marriage Retreat

Sign-ups Open for the Faulkner Center Marriage Retreat ACU faculty and staff are invited to enter a drawing to attend the Faulkner Center’s second annual marriage retreat. The marriage retreat will be held at the beautiful Gruene Mansion Inn located in New Braunfels, Texas, on February 27th – March 1st, 2026. The ten couples drawn will pay a total of $200 (per couple), which will include 2 nights at the Inn and a Saturday marriage enrichment workshop (meals are on your own). It will be a wonderful time to connect with your spouse and enjoy the lovely and relaxing surroundings. To register for the drawing, email faulknercenter@acu.edu by December 8th.

Retirement Reception honoring Susan Gore

Staff and faculty are invited to attend a come-and-go retirement reception in honor of Susan Gore on Thursday, December 4 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the east lobby of the Hunter Welcome Center. Light refreshments will be served.

Join us for Ethnos 2025, ACU’s biggest cultural showcase of the year presented by the Office of Intercultural Engagement and Belonging and the International Students’ Association. This year’s show will feature not only incredible performances from our very own ACU students, but also groups from HSU, McMurry, and the greater Abilene community. You won’t want to miss it! Dates: Friday, November 14 & Saturday, November 15 Time: 7:00–9:00 PM Venue: Boone Family Theater On Saturday, come early and enjoy a Block Party featuring local favorites like Dragon Soul and Life of Pie food trucks before the evening performance. Faculty/Staff Meeting

Plan to join your colleagues for university updates on Wednesday, November 5, at noon or 4 p.m. We will meet in person at noon in the Hunter Welcome Center’s McCaleb Conference Center. At 4 p.m., we will meet virtually so that faculty and staff who work remotely or are traveling will have the opportunity to participate. Remote employees can access the virtual meeting here and will need to sign in to Zoom with their ACU account.

ICA’s Golden Gala: The Festival of Lights

The Office of Intercultural Engagement & Belonging and Indian Culture Association invites all faculty and staff to join us at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Hillcrest Church of Christ, for the Golden Gala, ICA’s flagship fall event. The celebration will feature cultural performances, Indian cuisine, and engaging activities that highlight the richness of Indian heritage. Our cultural celebration aims to bring together students, faculty, staff, and the broader community for a festive evening of joy, connection, and shared traditions. Early Bird tickets are $15 per person for General Admission. Student tickets are $5. Tickets for General Admission increase to $18 after Friday, November 7th. Tickets can be purchased online here.

First Generation Student Panel

🌟 Join UAP for a First-Gen Student Panel 🌟 Celebrate National First-Generation College Student Week with an engaging panel discussion featuring ACU first-generation students. 📅 Date: Wednesday, November 5 ⏰ Time: 11:30am – 1:00pm 📍 Location: LYNAY Classroom 🍽️ Lunch Provided (must RSVP by November 2). Weekly Workday Update

We are less than two months away from our launch of Workday for the ACU Campus. Here is your weekly update:

  • Our team is finalizing configuration before everything is loaded into what will be our final production Workday environment. A lot of work has been done to get to this moment! If you see someone from HR, Finance, or IT let them know what a great job they are doing!
  • We have updated our site to list all the training sessions we will be doing starting in November. We will be updating that page with locations and Zoom links over the next week, but you can go ahead and put the necessary times on your calendar. Click on “Training” in the upper right corner.
  • We want to know how aware campus is about the upcoming changes. Please take a moment to fill out this form to let us know.
