Benefits Tip: HSA Account Balance

by   |  02.11.19  |  Announcements, Benefits

In order to keep your account active with HSA Bank, you must not allow your account to have a negative balance for more than 4 months or your account will be marked inactive. Once your account is marked inactive, you will have to contact HSA Bank to reactivate your account. ACU will not be able to deposit contributions while your account is inactive. If your account gets low or is at a zero balance, consider setting up a small payroll deduction per paycheck to avoid any issues.

Benefit ID Cards & HSA Cards

by   |  12.03.18  |  Benefits, Events

Contrary to what was noted during open enrollment, all employees on ACU’s medical plan will be getting a new ID card for 2019. ELAP is requiring that the new provider help link be added to all ID cards for 1/1/19. The good news is that nothing else on the ID cards are changing, so if you happen to show your current ID card next year, all group numbers and Rx BIN numbers are the same, so there shouldn’t be any employee disruption.

If you have been on the HSA plan since 2016, new cards are being issued for 2019 due to the card expiration date of 12/31/18. These have recently been sent by HSA Bank and you should receive them in the mail at your residence.

Benefits Tip: Health Insurance Documents Available
