On Wednesday, April 28, ACU’s Title IX office invites you to participate in National Denim Day by wearing denim. Denim Day is a campaign to show “support to survivors by renewing our commitment to exposing harmful behaviors and attitudes surrounding sexual violence.” Read more about the origins of this campaign here. The ACU Medical Clinic will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics next week for the Moderna two-dose and Johnson & Johnson single-dose COVID-19 vaccines. If you schedule a Moderna vaccine appointment, you will be contacted to schedule the second dose appointment 21 days after your first dose.

The vaccine clinic will be held in the Teague Special Events Center located next to the ACU Medical Clinic. You’ll need to print and complete the following paperwork prior to arriving at your appointment:

• ACU Medical Clinic Consent
• Texas Immunization Consent
• Pre-Vaccination Screening

You and/or your dependents can schedule an appointment using the links below. Please only schedule one appointment per person. Each person with an appointment will need to print and complete all three documents above.

The Annual Meeting for all members of the ACU Credit Union is Tuesday, April 13th in the Hunter Welcome Center. Come at 11:30am to Zone A / Room #124 for the once a year business meeting for the members. As always, election of Board members and door prizes are on the agenda. Join us in ACU’s Cullen Auditorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m for two interviews with Dr. Billy Curl (’64) and his great nephew Rodney Hawkins II, Emmy-nominated producer for CBS National News. The conversations, moderated by OMA director Ryan Bowman (’06), will explore Curl’s life story, his ministry and his experience as the first Black student to integrate Abilene Christian University. Hawkins then will join him to discuss his ongoing series documenting his family history and his personal journey restoring the family’s 200-year-old cemetery.
