Alumni Day Luncheon

Undergrad Research Festival

Applications and abstracts for the 2020 Undergraduate Research Festival are due on Friday, Jan. 24, by 5 p.m.

The ACU Undergraduate Research Festival, scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th, gives students an opportunity to present their research during concurrent sessions or as a poster. Students who present their research compete for Outstanding Presentation Awards in several categories. This year at the festival there will be a creative arts category for presentations focusing on digital, vocal, theatrical, and creative expression, as well as entries from the Images of Aging photography contest.

Submit here for Images of Aging entries.  All other festival proposals should be submitted here.

WACU Bake Sale

WACU is hosting its Christmas Bake and Craft Sale this Friday, Dec. 13. Stop by the WACU museum from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. to choose from a selection of pies, sweet treats, crafts and items from the museum. All proceeds from the sale will go to the WACU Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Dead Day Beat Saber Tournament

Dementia Virtual Reality Experience

Pruett Gerontology Center and Innovation Foundry Invite the ACU community to a Dementia Virtual Reality Experience. On Wednesday, Dec. 4th, we will have VR programs that help you put yourself in the shoes of someone with dementia to better understand the challenging symptoms they face. The programs are self-guided, and we will have an optional reflection space available. The event is come and go from 11:00am-1:00pm. Christmas Vespers

The Annual Christmas Vespers presented by the Department of Music will be this Sunday, December 8th beginning at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Abilene. This year’s theme is “Hope for All the World,” and it will be a beautiful evening of music, scripture, prayer, and readings celebrating the season. Admission is Free.

Foundation Christmas Reception

The ACU Foundation would like to invite current and retired members of the ACU faculty and staff to a holiday reception on Tuesday, December 17th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Hunter Welcome Center atrium around the Christmas tree.
