Travel is the key word at the Pruett Gerontology Center. Gero Student and PGC Student Associate Laura Baxter will be attending the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association‘s Annual Convention in Houston at the end of this week.

Known as “TSHA” to speech-language pathologists (SLPs), audiologists, and students in the field, the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association seeks to empower SLPs and audiologists in the spirit of partnership with consumers and families. More than 4,500 speech-language pathologists, audiologists, consumers, and speakers from Texas and are expected to attend.

The Annual Convention serves as an exchange of ideas, information, and technology related to speech-language pathology, audiology, special education, and related disciplines. The keynote speaker, Dr. Brené Brown, will be speaking on “Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way we Live, Love and Lead.”
