Russia’s Angela Vorobeva recently became the oldest female to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at the age of 86 years. In her lifetime, Angela witnessed and survived of the notorious siege of Leningrad in 1944, during World War II. Though she lived a life of hardships and challenges, she never gave up on pursuing her childhood dreams of visiting the remotest parts of the world, insisting that age is not a barrier. On October 29, 2015 she conquered Africa’s highest mountain – the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Click to see the momentous photos.
