Barbecuing with the Hills

This picture was taken on February 16th of 2021 in Abilene, Texas while in the middle of a power outage and water shortage. For most residents, this was day 2 of not having power and low on water. Luckily my roommate’s grandparents, Dickie Hill and Onita Hill, invited us over to their warm house and a prepared dinner. Although they too suffered from power outage and water shortage, they were more prepared and equipped with dealing with this dilemma. They had a fireplace to keep their house warm and a grill powered by gas to make us food for dinner. They both successfully prepared us some bbq ribs, sweet potato, mashed potatoes, peas, pasta, and salad.
