Charge to
Task Force
The Educational Innovation Task Force is asked to propose a three-year scope of work culminating in the implementation of a degree plan delivery model that serves as a pilot for a new “ACU” model of undergraduate education. The pilot should include innovative methods of general education and major-specific instructional delivery that maintains or enhances academic quality while considering efficiencies of educational delivery.
Educating in the 21st-Century
ACU’s 21st-Century Vision: Educating Christian Leaders for the World identified several ways innovative practices could facilitate university growth and ensure the development of excellent and relevant academic programs to meet current and future demands. This important work continues in the current strategic plan. Over the next five years, we plan to stimulate and reward innovation in educational delivery through course and program development that integrates technology, addresses student learning, incorporates new competency-based credit, leverages relationships, and provides alternative paths to degree completion. ACU will increase its reach to additional student populations, enhance learning and reduce costs through new delivery methods.
