Therapy and Restoration
Carl Rogers’s view of client centered therapy and unconditional positive regard can be placed into the category of the restoration. Unconditional positive regard is something that I think that is important for therapy. I do not think it is important solely for the client, but also the therapist. Carl Rogers understood that this concept is hard in practice because it is a way of learning for the therapist as well as the client. It’s is not an easy task to accept a person for no matter what they do. But God does that for us everyday. To be reminded what God wants us to do for others is important because we are called to accept not to judge. Therapy that is centered around acceptance is a perfect place for clients to get the help they need.

It’s cool how you made the point of seeing things as barbaric, but not less human. Good points. You argued well and I think it is great how you came to your conclusions.

It was interesting how you tied creation with philo. I think it was an appropriate pairing because of his reasoning that knowledge only comes from God. I don’t fully agree with his reasoning, but I totally agree with the pairing. But I liked how you added at the end that our society needs to focus more on God. That’s a good statement, but I think it would be a better thing if society did not rely on God, but that individuals did.

I liked the was you tied personal religion from the renaissance to “redemption” I agree with your thought process on that. It was a very new thought to have a separation of religion from church. And the idea that the personal faith you have is more important than anything that a church tells you to do.

This is a great blog because it is concise and to the point about how Luther can be associated with the fall. His belief that you cannot be saved by works alone but by faith is a great example about how people of that day believed in the infallibility of the church. Luther saw the corruptness of the church and he saw how they had fallen from the scriptures.
