Summer Opportunity at Camp Ozark

Want to have an incredible summer job in Crafts & Culinary Arts and work with kids this summer? Then Camp Ozark might be the perfect place for you! We are recruiting at Ole Miss on the dates of November 11th -13th. We will have a table in the McGlothlin Campus Center from 8-5, Wednesday through Friday; so come visit us.

Check out our opportunities to serve kids: www.yoursummer2016.com

A little bit about us:
Camp Ozark is America’s largest single-site Christian sports and adventure camp for kids.  We hire over 700 college-aged students from over 40 universities to work with over 6,000 kids each summer.  Taking summer school?  No problem!  We have flexible work durations.  Need a job?  No problem!  All work at Camp Ozark is paid employment.  Needing internship credit? We have those too!

All members of the Crafts & Culinary team can expect to learn valuable lessons in project and supply management, group and individual teaching, and interpersonal skills. Crafts & Culinary Arts Staff can also expect to gain experience in a wide variety of crafts, culinary, and creative endeavors.

Sign up online for an informal interview while we’re on campus: www.campozark.com.  Interviews are NOT a commitment to work on your part.  They’re an opportunity for you to get to know us better and for us to get to know you better, however you will need to complete an interview at some point if you are interested in working at Camp Ozark this summer.

Intercollegiate Student Art Competition

The Center’s 2016 Intercollegiate Student Art Competition page is now live on our Website. Information about rules and restrictions, deadlines and due dates, and the online enrollment form can be found there.

Again this year, we will be accepting submissions using an online form in which students submit the title and other information about their artwork to enter the competition. Students may submit two entries each. Work that can be considered “contemporary” is most likely to be included in the juried exhibit. Artwork delivery will not be until January after students are back, so they can even work on their pieces during the holidays!

If you have any questions about the competition, please refer them to this link or look for the Intercollegiate button at the top of our home page, center-arts.com.

Abilene Artists Coalition – Call for Entries Nov. 16-19th.

ACU Alum, Shay (Suzy) Tracy is putting together a new group of artists and they will be hosting a show.  All questions can be directed to the number on the poster.
