CFO Transition

Kelly Young, ACU’sChief Financial Officer, has accepted a position with ACIMCO (Abilene Christian Investment Management Company). “After 15 years in higher education financial management, I find myself looking for projects from which l can draw more energy,” Young said. “One of those projects is the development of businesses around campus that can help attract more students to ACU as well as provide additional income to the university.” Dr. Phil Schubert said, “I have appreciated Kelly’s commitment to ACU and the diligence with which he has approached his role. I consider him a good friend and colleague and wish him well in the upcoming transition.” Young has been exploring this opportunity since the spring and will begin working in his new role at the end of this fiscal year; however, recruiting for the CFO position is already in progress.
