Kelly Young, ACU’sChief Financial Officer, has accepted a position with ACIMCO (Abilene Christian Investment Management Company). “After 15 years in higher education financial management, I find myself looking for projects from which l can draw more energy,” Young said. “One of those projects is the development of businesses around campus that can help attract more students to ACU as well as provide additional income to the university.” Dr. Phil Schubert said, “I have appreciated Kelly’s commitment to ACU and the diligence with which he has approached his role. I consider him a good friend and colleague and wish him well in the upcoming transition.” Young has been exploring this opportunity since the spring and will begin working in his new role at the end of this fiscal year; however, recruiting for the CFO position is already in progress. Thanks to all who helped make Mingle & Jingle a success. Special thanks to the Provost’s and President’s offices, Human Resources, Faculty and Staff Senate, Alumni, Admissions, Physical Resources, Aramark, University Marketing and University Events, as well as the many of you who volunteered. The event brought more than 2,500 attendees to campus including faculty and staff, students, prospective families, local alumni and community. We collected approximately 500 toys for Christmas on the Street sponsored by Love and Care Ministries. The toys will be given to needy children Dec 10-12. We have received overwhelming response from those who attended and hope Mingle & Jingle will become a new ACU tradition.
