ACU’s 57th Sing Song

ACU’s 57th Sing Song will take place this week with Sing Song Vacation! The preview show will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. Cost is $10 at the door … no tickets required, just pay at the door — then go in and find your favorite seat. Doors will open one hour prior to the show. Friday and Saturday shows require tickets, and plenty are left! Those tickets can be purchased in the north ticket window area in Moody from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day this week or online.

The 24/7 Nurseline is staffed by registered nurses who are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (800) 299-0274. In a matter of minutes, they can help you identify some options. You can also learn about more than 1,200 health topics from allergies to women’s health over the telephone via an audio library system. (Note: For medical emergencies, call 911 or your local emergency services first.)

HR Frontline Stats for 2012

In 2012, HR  Frontline answered 7,023 incoming calls and  processed 9,644 Personnel Action Forms (PAF’s). As you can see, these student employees are hard at work for you!

2013 Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form

The Conflict of Interest Policy requires all full-time faculty and staff to complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure form on an annual basis. Click on this link to download the form. The form should be completed and turned in to your immediate supervisor/department chair. Supervisors should send the original forms to the Human Resources office to be included in personnel files no later than March 8, 2013.

Duncum Center for Conflict Resolution’s first Annual Conference

Registration is now open for the Duncum Center for Conflict Resolution’s first annual conference on March 4 featuring highly respected mediator Kenneth Cloke. He has made substantial contributions to the field of conflict resolution through his books and by his leadership of the Center for Dispute Resolution in Santa Monica, CA. The Duncum Center Conference is open to students, alumni and the public. The cost is $79 for an all day pass; $19 for the dinner only.

Tickets-Alumni Award Luncheon

All ACU employees are welcome to attend the annual luncheon honoring this year’s winners of the Outstanding Alumnus and Young Alumnus of the Year awards to be held on Feb. 17 at 12:30 p.m. Cmdr. David Bynum (’84), a U.S. Navy chaplain, and Dr. Marcus Nelson (’94), superintendent of the Laredo Independent School District, will be honored. Purchase tickets here.

Town Hall features SRWC, Marketing

All ACU employees are invited to a Town Hall at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in the Campus Center Living Room, featuring Dr. Kerri Hart, director of the Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center, and Jason Groves, chief marketing officer. Kerri will discuss the new semester-by-semester alumni membership plan, and Jason will discuss the new Communication Compass.

Chapel Forum with ’07 Teacher of the Year

Alumna Nika Maples (’96), whose time as an ACU student was cut short by a lupus-induced stroke, will speak in Chapel and host a Chapel forum on Monday, Feb. 18. Nika was named the 2007 Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year, capping an amazing return from nearly complete paralysis that she has recounted in her inspirational memoir, Twelve Clean Pages.
