This Friday, March 22nd Faculty and Staff are invited to join Dr. Schubert for an admitted student reception honoring students admitted for the Fall 2013 semester from 7-8 p.m. in the Williams Performing Arts Center. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and the ACU Jazz Band will perform. Spouses are welcome.  Please wear your ACU name-tag and make our guests feel welcome. Thursday on campus … FREE showing of the movie “Unconditional” on Thursday, March 21st at 8 p.m. in Cullen Auditorium. Brent McCorkle, the director of the film, will be on campus for FilmFest and at Cullen Thursday night offering a question-and-answer session after the film. Invite all of your friends. “Unconditional” was released this fall and came out on DVD two weeks ago. View the trailer at http://www.unconditionalthemovie.com/. The story is about Samantha Crawford, who, due to a senseless act of violence,  loses her faith and her will to live. But a death-defying encounter with two children leads to a reunion with Joe, her oldest friend. Inspired by true events, “Unconditional” stars Michael Ealy (“Think Like A Man,” “Barbershop”) and Lynn Collins (“John Carter,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.)

Friday at the Paramount … Student-produced short films will take the big screen at the Paramount Theatre this Friday, March 22, at 8 p.m. The awards gala will start with student hosts Bo Braddock, Amanda Clary and Bobby Holden commanding the evening. Admission is FREE, thanks to sponsorships from the Students’ Association and Campus Activities Board.

Do you have an idea for a unique business, service, or product? Enter your concept to the 6th annual Springboard Ideas Challenge for a chance to win $15,000 by competing in the community sector. Are you working with students who are graduating in May? Help us make sure they know about Graduation Fair which is taking place on Monday, March 25th from noon to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, March 26th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in The Campus Store. Each graduate candidate will be able to purchase his or her cap and gown, order official graduation announcements, purchase an official ACU ring and more. Representatives from several departments will also be there to answer questions about graduation and beyond including: Student Financial Services, Alumni Relations, ACU Career Center, Registrar and the ACU Graduate School. ACU provides Identity Theft coverage to all benefits-eligible employees at no cost to employees. This service offers income protection, reimbursement for allowable expenses related to the recovery of your identity, and a customer claims representative to aid you in the process of restoring your identity. As a reminder, ACU provides bulletin boards and kiosks for displaying posters, flyers, and any other form of advertising. Please do not post on walls, windows, doors, stairs, railings, trees, trashcans, lamp posts, or any other location on campus outside of the designated bulletin boards or kiosks. This policy applies to the entire ACU community – students, student organizations and departments. The adhesive from these items can damage the surface they are attached to and cause Custodial Services to spend additional time in removing the adhesive.
