Organizational Changes

by   |  04.29.13  |  Announcements

Effective May 1, Anthony Williams, ACU’s Chief Business Services Officer, will report to Allison Garrett, Executive Vice President.  Anthony, an ACU employee since 1997, will continue to oversee the World Famous Bean, Pura Vida Salon, Campus Store, Purchasing, Mail Services, vending and laundry.

Also on May 1, Kevin Roberts, in his role as Vice President of Planning and Operations, will take on the leadership of Physical Resources, Construction and Risk Management.  Kevin has led these areas in the past.

We believe that both of these organizational changes will help us better address the challenges and complexities that the future will bring.

Feral Cat Initiative Update

by   |  04.29.13  |  Announcements

Thanks to the great work of adjunct professor Dr. Dale Hembree, his students, and Facilities and Campus Management staff, we have successfully had 39 cats go through the Trap-Neuter-Release program this semester.  The feral cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies and safely returned to campus.

The ACU Feral Cat Initiative’s mission is to raise awareness about the feral & stray cats living outdoors throughout our campus and to successfully manage the existing colonies.

Inquiries about the Feral Cat Program, and questions about volunteer opportunities can be emailed to: feralcats@groupmail.acu.edu

Many Americans — including faculty and staff at ACU — are looking for ways to save money and stay healthy. That’s why Human Resources is pleased to announce that in calendar year 2014 we will have two levels of premiums for your health insurance.

Employees who are covered on ACU’s plan and choose to have a preventive exam (i.e. a physical or a well woman visit) between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013 will pay a lower monthly premium in calendar year 2014 than those who do not. It’s that simple. Make an appointment with your doctor for your FREE preventive exam and save money in 2014. The 2014 premium rates will be determined later this year, and they will be announced in annual enrollment meetings in the fall.
