Summer Media Camps

The Information Technology Training Center is proud to offer technology summer camps! Through these camps, we hope that your child will learn skills and other technology aspects that will last a lifetime. These camps will give your child a chance to build on their creative skills and have fun doing it!

Here are the dates for the upcoming sessions:
Session 1: July 22-26 8:30-12 (Ages 5-10)
Session 2: July 22-26 1:30-5pm (Ages 11-18)
Session 3: Aug 5-9 8:30-12 (Ages 5-10)
Session 4: Aug 5-9 1:30-5pm (Ages 11-18)

Summer Ice Cream Celebration

The Academic Division invites you to a come and go Summer Celebration featuring ice cream sundaes with your choice of toppings in celebration of a successful summer here at ACU. You have served a record number of students during our first block tuition summer sessions; recruited and admitted a great freshman class; hosted future Wildcats during Passport and Leadership Camps; completed a tremendous year of fund raising; pumped water out of Cullen; remodeled buildings; mowed grass; planted flowers; etc. Whatever role you played, we want to thank you for making summer successful.

Where: Hunter Welcome Center, East Lobby

Faculty/Staff Parking Permits

All faculty and staff employees are reminded that the current Faculty/Staff Parking Permits (F/S Permits) will expire on August 10th. ACUPD will begin issuing new annual F/S Permits on July 15th.

Beginning this year, the initial F/S Permit will be issued to employees at no charge. Replacement F/S Permits issued due to theft/lost, etc., will cost $5 each.

F/S Permits can be obtained at ACUPD during lobby hours of 8am-5pm- Mon-Fri.  Please note that F/S Permits will no longer be available in The Depot.

In order to receive the new F/S Permit, employees will be required to fill out a new F/S Vehicle Registration Form (available online for printout at F/S Vehicle Registration Form or the form can be obtained/completed when the employee comes into ACUPD.

July Wildcat Video Minute

Students from ACU’s Department of Engineering and Physics are involved in research this summer that could change the way we look at the world. They’re taking advantage of world-class internships at places like the Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, New York, and at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory outside Chicago. Movies on the Hill – Despicable Me

Bring the family, some blankets and chairs to the ACU campus for an unforgettable night of great food, great fun and a great movie: Despicable Me! It all begins Tuesday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m., when food trucks from Gypsy Blu and The Smokery will open their doors; popcorn, lemonade and candy will also be available. Despicable Me will begin at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free; all we ask is that you bring a donated item for Food Bank of West Central Texas. Join us on the front lawn of campus, east of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building. Like last time, parking will be available on ACU Drive, accessible from Ambler Avenue or East North 16th Street;  Teague Boulevard will be closed to traffic.

If you can’t make it, we’ll be showing Oz, the Great and Powerful on Tuesday, Aug. 6, and collecting donations for Global Samaritan Resources. We can’t wait to see you on the Hill!
