SRWC Thanksgiving Hours

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday 11/26 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It will reopen on Sunday 12/1 at 5 p.m. For more information, please visit acu.edu/srwc.

Cashier Holiday Hours

The cashier’s office will be open from 1-4 p.m., December 16th through December 23rd and January 2nd through January 3rd.  Regular hours, Monday-Friday, 1-5 p.m.,  will resume Monday, January 6th.

Farewell Reception for Peggy Hurst

There will be a come-and-go reception to honor Peggy Hurst, Executive Assistant to the Provost, for her dedicated service to the university. The reception will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2-3:30 p.m., in the Campus Center Living Room. A brief presentation will be held at 2:30. Please join us in expressing thanks and appreciation to Peggy as she retires.

Holiday Operation Hours – Library

Brown Library will be closing at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th before the Thanksgiving break instead of the regular closing time of midnight.

Christmas Slam

Be sure to mark your calendars for the Third Annual ACU Christmas Slam on Tuesday December 3rd at the women’s and men’s basketball games at 5:30 and 7:30. Don’t miss out on all the fun filled activities including Santa Claus making a special stop at Moody Coliseum that night. ACU athletics and the Students Association will be giving away 500 free Christmas Slam T shirts to the first 500 fans at the game. Art Show-Surreal Mixed Media Sculptures

Please join us for a free event on Saturday, December 7, from 7-11 p.m., for the 11th annual art show of Rolando Diaz, ACU Alumni. The show will be held at the Jannett Kennedy Gallery, 1409 S. Lamar St. Dallas, TX 75215. A featured sculpture in the show will be, “Forbidden Fruit”, made at the ACU 3D Maker Lab. ACU Press to Release-Frontier Texas

ACU Press will be releasing a full-color photography book, “The Texas Forts Trail,” at Frontier Texas Thursday, Nov. 14. The event will last from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be open to the public. The book, which features the eight forts and one Spanish presidio on the Texas Forts Trail, will be available at the gift shops of the various forts and through the Chambers of Commerce and independent book stores throughout the Texas Forts Trail region.
