University departments have saved a documented $505,441 so far in FY14 by using Cooperative Purchasing Networks. Purchasing cooperatives are established to provide services to members at the best possible price and value. All contracts are competitively bid. Save “Time” and “Money” by taking advantage of discount prices on goods and services. ACU has membership with several cooperatives to help with cost savings for goods and services. The SRWC will be closed on Friday & Saturday, April 18 & 19 for the Good Friday/Easter Holiday. We will reopen on Sunday, April 20 at 5 p.m. Please plan your workouts accordingly.

The Provost’s Office invites you to an appreciation reception honoring Dr. Carley Dodd for his service as Graduate Dean.  Please join us on Wednesday, April 16, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Brown Library.  A short presentation will take place at 3:30 p.m.   Carley will be teaching in the Department of Communication this fall.

Please join us for a Retirement Reception honoring Dr. Sonny Guild who was a Missionary-in-Residence from 1993-1999, and then became a professor for the Department of Bible, Missions and Ministry in 2000. He is also the former director of the Halbert Institute for Missions. The reception will be Friday, April 25 from 2-4 p.m. in the Campus Living Room. There will be a special presentation at 3:00 p.m.

Please join us for a Retirement Reception honoring Dr. James Thompson who has taught in the Graduate School of Theology, College of Biblical Studies, for 21 years on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 3-5 p.m. in the Campus Living Room.  There will be a special presentation at 3:30 p.m.

University Purchasing is proud to offer our Blue Bag Recycling pickup services to campus. A few reminders to help the service run smoothly: The Blue Bags are for paper recycling only, stands and extra empty bags are available at the warehouse upon request, email all request to purchasing@acu.edu, be sure your request includes the number of bags to be picked up, the pickup locations, and contact information in the case we have questions about your request. We will bring you and equal number of replacement bags to the amount we pick up unless otherwise instructed in  your email. Thank you for your cooperation in our effort to make ACU a more sustainable community.

University Purchasing wants to remind you that we are your on-stop-shop for all of your recycling and sustainability needs. Our services include: battery recycling, Blue Bag Program, CFL and fluorescent lamp recycling, cardboard recycling, bags of plastic, bags of aluminum cans, toner cartridges, picking up tubs of documents to be shredded, bags of shredded paper and aerosol cans.
