The deadline for Hendrick & BCBS is today, June 30. If an agreement is not reached by midnight tonight, Hendrick will be considered out of network for those with BCBS insurance. It is important that you review the FAQ’s from both Hendrick and BCBS. Doing so will allow you to begin to consider what, if any, steps you may need to take should Hendrick become out of network for a period of time. We are currently compiling a list of FAQ’s for ACU should this occur. Beginning Monday 6/30, the coffee cafe in the library will be closed for remodel as ACU works to convert the space into a fully-licensed Starbucks. Opening in late August, the library cafe will offer the complete Starbucks experience, inclusive of all your favorite menu items as well as the ability to use gift cards and the highly-popular My Starbucks Rewards program.
During this transition period, we encourage you to visit Einstein Bros Bagels in the Student Center for coffee, pastries, lunch and more. Einstein hours of operation are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Since construction work will occur during open library hours, we are committed to minimal disruption of normal library routines and apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

The Office of Business Services was commissioned to engage in an RFP process to establish a single vendor for all of the University’s promotional purchases. Choosing a single, exclusive vendor allows us to leverage the combined strength of our buying power to negotiate a significant discount that will benefit your departments and the University.
Staples Promotional Products have been awarded the RFP contract and have become the exclusive promotional item provider here on campus. In order to remain in compliance with the contract signed between the University and Staples Promotional Products all promotional items purchased by the University must be done so through the ACU PromoGear Program. The contract went into effect on June 1st 2014.
Please make your departments aware of this new contract with Staples and of the ACU PromoGear program in the interim. ProForma, or any other 3rd party promotional vendor, is no longer contractually eligible to be used for the purchasing of promotional products of any type. Be on the lookout for ACU PromoGear announcements – including training workshops wherein individuals within your departments can have one on one training opportunities. Effective July 7th the University Procurement will be changing the time of our daily package pick up for all out-going UPS and Federal Express packages from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please e-mail us at purchasing@acu.edu by 1:00 p.m. to have your package picked up by our courier. If you miss the deadline and have a package that needs to be shipped out that day, you can take it to the drop off boxes in the Campus Center (for FedEx overnights) or the shelf outside The Campus Store back door for all UPS packages. For overnight letters there are drop off boxes located in the Campus Center outside of Mail Services. If a package can be picked up the next day, please indicate that in the e-mail and we will take care of the request accordingly. If you have any questions about this change please call the University Procurement Office at 2246.
The SRWC will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We will return to regular summer hours on Saturday, July 5. Please mark your calendar and plan to adjust your workout schedule accordingly.
The Women for ACU Museum will be closed beginning Monday, June 30, through Friday, July 25. During this time, food sales will also take a hiatus. The museum will reopen on Monday, July 28, and food sales will continue on Thursday, July 31.
As of today, Hendrick & BCBS are still in negotiations regarding their contract. ACU remains optimistic that an agreement will be made. Due to liability and insurance reasons, the terms of the contract restrict our ACU Enterprise account to university business only. However, Enterprise Rent Car has set up a link for all faculty and staff personal rent car needs. When you need to rent a car for personal use, Enterprise will provide a 5% discount off all published rates.
