Financial Operations wants to remind you that normal cashiering hours will resume on Monday, August 18, 2014. The cashiering office will be open 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to receive your deposits.

ACU will offer a wellness discount on your health insurance premiums again for 2015. To qualify for the discount employees will once again need to have a preventive exam (i.e. a physical or a well woman visit) In addition, if you have a spouse on ACU’s health insurance plan, your spouse will need to do the same. The First-Year Program would like to invite all ACU Faculty and Staff to be a part of one of ACU’s great traditions – the Welcome Week Candlelight Devotional. This year it will be held on Tuesday, August 19. The First-Year Program would love for faculty and staff to join our returning students and alumni to line the sidewalk at 8:40 p.m. from Moody Coliseum to the Amphitheatre for this terrific way to welcome our new students to the university.

The University Procurement Office has several pieces of used furniture available at the Warehouse. There are metal desk, tables, chairs and shelves. If you are interested in acquiring some of this furniture, please contact purchasing@acu.edu or call our office at 2246 for further details.

Thanks to a generous donation we have purchased JSTOR Arts and Sciences VIII and JSTOR Arts and Sciences XI.  JSTOR is a large archive of journal backfiles with new content being added each year.   The donation of these online collections gives our students, faculty and staff greater access to journals in the core humanities disciplines including history, language & literature, art & art history, and education.  ACU’s JSTOR collection can be accessed at http://www.jstor.org

We are excited to announce that David Kinnaman will be our speaker. “Kinnaman is the author of the best-selling book, unChristian (2007) and You Lost Me (2011), both of which explore the attitudes of 16 to 29-year-olds in relation to Christianity, church and culture. He frequently speaks publicly on topics of spiritual and cultural trends, teenagers and young adults, vocation, calling, and leadership.”

All offices should close or be staffed by student employees to allow all staff to attend the event.
