ACU’s 59th Sing Song will take place this week with the show “Sing Song Countdown!” The preview show will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. Cost is $10 at the door … no tickets required, just pay at the door — then go in and find your favorite seat. Doors will open one hour prior to the show. Friday and Saturday shows require tickets, and plenty are left! Those tickets can be purchased online at www.acu.edu/singsong or in the Campus Center Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, then in Moody Thursday and Friday afternoon.

Please join the ACU A Cappella Chorus for a Coming Home Concert on Thursday, February 26, 7:30 p.m. at WPAC Recital Hall, free admission. ACU A Cappella is returning from a five-day tour of Houston and the Coming Home Concert will feature the complete Choral Dances by Benjamin Britten, psalm settings by Johann Pachelbel, Charles Villiers Stanford, and contemporary composer Andrew Rindfleisch, as well as Brazilian folk music and African American spirituals. The choir will also perform a new piece by ACU Composer-in-Residence, Hyun Joo Lee.

Please join the ACU Orchestra on Thursday, February 19, 7:30 p.m. at Cullen Auditorium, free admission. The event will feature the winners of the biannual concerto/aria competition sponsored by the ACU Dept. of Music,  Michelle Sulaiman, senior  piano performance major and Jennifer Magill, senior vocal performance major. Also on the program is the Fanfare to La Peri by Dukas, and Brahms exciting Academic Festival Overture.

The beginning of a new year is always a good time to review your pay stub. Please take a minute to look at the details of your last paycheck so that you are aware of your earnings and deductions. On every Pepsi and Snack Food Vending Machine there is an Asset ID tag (with an id number) and an (800) or local phone number. If you have a problem with one of these machines, please call the phone number and reference the Asset ID on the tag. If you are unable to get a hold of anyone by calling the number you can contact the University Procurement Office at 2246 or e-mail purchasing@acu.edu and we will assist you to resolve the issue.

ACU has a long standing partnership and contract with the Pepsi Cola Corporation and committed to a five year exclusive deal. The contract calls for exclusively Pepsi products to be permitted on campus and that all drink orders go through the Warehouse for a stock request or the University Procurement Office for special orders by submitting a Banner requisition. We ask for your continued help and cooperation in honoring both the stated intent and the spirit of the contract. Effective immediately: University Procurement is pleased to announce additional savings with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National through our E & I Contract. Our new negotiated rates include across the board cuts on the daily rate ranging from 2-4% based on Vehicle Class. In addition to the decrease in daily rate, the weekly factor has been reduced from 6 times the daily rate to 5.5 times the daily rate; they also reduced the One-day surcharges for all rentals commencing on a Mon/Tue/Wed from $5/day to $2/day as well as a reduction in the Geographic surcharge for the NY/NJ/CT Metro area from $25 to $22. Remember to use our account number XZ65059 every time you book with Enterprise or National for University business. ACU Policy requires you get insurance for all vehicle rentals and Enterprise/National includes these costs automatically in our rate as long as you book using our account number. You can use your Emerald Club membership to get an upgrade in vehicle size while paying the Mid-Size price, with the option of choosing your own vehicle. Saturday, Feb. 7,  is Pink Day at the 2:00 p.m. Women’s Basketball game vs Southeastern Louisiana! Come support your ACU Wildcats and the Play-4-K Foundation, the official breast cancer research and awareness foundation for the WBCA. With your donation ($2. minimum) you’ll receive a pink ACU Wildcat Basketball T-shirt to wear to the game on Saturday.
