Homecoming Parade & Historic Aircraft Flyover

The Homecoming Parade will have a special kick-off this year as The Big Country Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) will do a flyover to kick off this year’s Homecoming Parade! Come out and watch a squad of historic aircraft fly over the Parade on E.N. 16th St. and Campus Court at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. The CAF acquires, restores and preserves combat aircraft for education and enjoyment purposes, and you can learn more about the organization at www.commemorativeairforce.org. And be sure to visit acu.edu/homecoming for details on all the fun events planned for the weekend!​

Family First Fun Night

Are you hungry for some Harold’s BBQ? All ACU employees and family members are invited to the Family First Fun Night on October 8th from 6-8 p.m. on the back patio of the Hunter Welcome Center. There will be Harold’s BBQ sandwiches, live music, and inflatables for kids. Come celebrate community, good food and fun. Please RSVP soon and plan to come early to get your Harold’s BBQ sandwich!

Farewell Reception – David Pittman

After eleven dedicated years with ACU, David Pittman will be leaving.  Join us Thursday, October 8, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Hunter Welcome Center Atrium to help us thank David for his years of service and wish him well in his new journey. There will be a special presentation at 3:30 p.m.

COBA Distinguished Speaker Series

Join us on October 29th as we host Lisa Rose as our fall Distinguished Speaker at a luncheon beginning at 11:45 am in the Hunter Welcome Center. Lisa Rose, founder and President of the 501(c)(3) projectHandUp, and founder and Board President of The Gatehouse in Grapevine will be speaking about social philanthropy and how they are changing the lives of impoverished and abused women and their families through this newly established community. International Scholar to Speak at ACU on Baptism

The Center for Heritage and Renewal in Spirituality (CHARIS) at ACU invites you to two upcoming lectures at ACU by international scholar, Dr. Anthony R. Cross, Oxford University, on the following topics:

Knowing God through Experience: Insights into Baptismal Spirituality through Personal Testimonies. Response from Dr. Everett Ferguson.  Monday, October 12, 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Chapel on the Hill.  Refreshments Served.
