NCAA Self-Study Process

ACU is entering its third year in a four-year process of transitioning to Division I athletics.  During this academic year, ACU will be writing a Self-Study for submission to the NCAA next spring.  A site team from the NCAA will visit ACU next fall.  If all goes well, ACU will be a full member of Division I starting in the fall of 2017.  Allison Garrett is serving as the Chair of the Institutional Performance Program Steering Committee, which is overseeing the self-study process.  We have formed three subcommittees that are researching and writing portions of the Self-Study.  They are: Academic Integrity (chaired by Eric Gumm), Commitment to Rules and Governance (chaired by Slade Sullivan), and Gender, Diversity and Student Wellbeing (chaired by Chris Riley).  The NCAA has emphasized the need for the entire campus to be involved in this process.  As these groups go about their work, they may contact you for information responsive to some of the NCAA standards.  Your cooperation with this important project will be greatly appreciated!  Early next spring, we will share additional information about our transition to Division I and seek feedback on the draft Self-Study.  Go Wildcats!
