Policy Point – Nondiscrimination

The purpose of ACU’s nondiscrimination policy is to preserve a work environment that is free from unlawful discrimination. The policy is to ensure that persons who apply for employment and persons who are employed are treated in a nondiscriminatory manner in matters of gender, race, age, color, national origin, veteran’s status, genetic information or disability in employment or the provision of services, in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.

Benefits Tip – 2015 Flexible Spending Account

If you have remaining funds in your 2015 flexible spending account, AND you will be on the HRA plan in 2016, you may use your Discovery Benefits card for claims incurred through 3/15/2016.

If you are moving to the HSA for 2016, you MUST use up all of your Flex funds by 12/31/15. Failure to empty your Flex funds will result in not being able to use your ACU and personal contributions to your HRA until 4/1/16.

Benefit Tip – New Network for Providers

Effective January 1, 2016 employees who reside in Abilene will be utilizing the PHCS MutliPlan PPO for providers. To see if your doctor is in the network, go to http://www.phcs.com and select the PHCS Practitioner Only logo. From there you can see if your doctor is in network. If your doctor does not show as in network, please call their office to see if they accept PHCS.

Employees who reside in Dallas should visit www.http://imsppo.com and select provider search. then search for doctors in the IMS Physician Only network. If your doctor does not show as in network, please call their office to see if they accept IMS.

Christmas Meal for Faculty and Staff

SRWC Christmas Break Hours

Beginning Friday, December 11, the SRWC will have adjusted hours for the Christmas Break. Please visit the SRWC Operating Hours Calendar  for details.

POOL CLOSURE
The SRWC Pools will be closed December 11 – January 3 for pool repairs. Pools will return to holiday hours on January 4. Please see the Pool Hours Calendar for details.
