ACU is pleased to provide paid time off during the holiday season. This year, ACU will be closed Monday, December 26 – Monday, January 2 for the Christmas/New Year Holiday. Departments wishing to close alternate hours must first seek approval from their respective SLT member. If approved, staff members would need to record vacation time for any additional time off.
ACU is hosting the Christian College Choral Festival for the first time in 30 years. Singers from sister universities will be on campus for a series of rehearsals culminating in a concert on Saturday, January 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Cullen Auditorium. All are invited to attend this long-awaited event. The Department of Music is seeking your help in hosting two college students for the festival on Friday and Saturday nights, January 6-7. Hosts provide a place to sleep, transportation to/from campus, and breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. If you can house a pair of students, please click here to indicate your availability. Questions – please contact Dr. Jeff Goolsby. Thank you, and we hope to see you at the concert!
Need to know what is considered to be an eligible expense to use your FSA or HSA funds on? Check out this chart to help you determine if you are using your funds appropriately.
Advancement Services will be closed for the holidays from December 24 through January 2. Any checks postmarked by December 31 will still be gift receipted as 2016 gifts. However, for credit card gifts to be receipted as a 2016 gift, the credit card transaction must be completed by December 31.
If your office receives donations, please send the checks and envelopes to our office as soon as possible after we reopen on January 3 so that we may close the 2016 books in a timely manner. Our box is 29132 and we are located in the Administration Building Room 300. Questions? Please call x2612. May your holidays be richly blessed!
As the holidays approach we are seeing an escalation of phishing attempts. Criminals are very clever as they try to gain access to your bank accounts, etc. Things to be aware of:
The MyACU display ad methodology will be replaced in January with a more current, more user-friendly alternative to be called What’s Happening on the Hill. Student Life representatives are available to show key people in each department how to create and upload ads to promote upcoming events for students, faculty and staff. Those demonstrations should take about 15 minutes. To schedule a visit, email Alyssa Ellison at akh04b@acu.edu.
Stop by the KACU studios Tuesday, December 13 from 9-11 am or 1-3 pm to purchase some great stocking stuffers. We will be selling items such as logo t-shirts, stainless steel tumblers, mugs and smartphone powerbanks at discounted prices. We are also holding a one-day fundraising drive for end-of-year donations on the same day. See you December 13!
