There will be a retirement celebration for Darrell Horn on Thursday, May 4th from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the McGlothlin Campus Center, Corbin Den – Lower Level. Please join us as we celebrate Darrell’s many years of service with ACU!

Please join in a celebration for Dr. Jeff Arrington as he prepares to begin his role as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Faulkner University.  Jeff has served at ACU for 28 years in a variety of roles in the College of Arts and Sciences and in Student Life.  The reception will be in the Halbert-Walling atrium on Friday, May 5 at 3:00-4:30 p.m., with a presentation around 3:30 p.m.

The Campus Store will be having a Spring Cleaning Sale from May 3 – May 13. You will find 50% off on all trade books, Bibles, select apparel and other items. You don’t want to miss this!

Female faculty and staff members are invited to the WACU Membership Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Hunter Welcome Center. This is sure to be a time of great food and fellowship, and you will also get the opportunity to hear from some inspiring speakers. The GPA Member Portal provides a streamlined, easy-to-navigate platform to access all of your health insurance information, including your: Coverage and plan benefits; Claims status and account balances; Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

Signing up takes less than 10 minutes:

1. Begin by visiting www.gpatpa.com and selecting the “Members” button
2. Click on the “Proceed to our sign up process” link located on the right side of the page
3. After agreeing to license agreement, you will be able to fill in your member information using your benefits card
4. Now, you will create your GPA account profile
5. The last step will be ensuring your member profile and information are correct and choosing your EOB delivery method

University Park Apartments will be partnering with SOAR and hosting a car wash fundraiser for the Katie Kirby Student Care Fund. The fundraiser will be held at University Park parking lot April 21st from 3-5 p.m. Each car wash will be $5 (cash only) plus any donations you wish to contribute. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dr. John Willis will be speaking in Chapel on Mondy, April 24th. Dr. Willis plans to retire at the end of the semester after teaching in the CBS for 46 years. He joined the Bible faculty in 1971 after teaching at Lipscomb University in Nashville for 15 years. Willis was named teacher of the year in 1974 and 2006.

Please join the College of Biblical Studies in honoring John Willis as he retires after 46 years of teaching at ACU. His reception will be on Friday, May 12, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Hall of Servants of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies building. Special presentations will start around 2:00 p.m. We hope you and many alumni will be able to join us for this special occasion. John and his wife Evelyn, have touched many lives during their time at ACU.

Wendell Willis is retiring after 23 years of teaching for the College of Biblical Studies. Please join us as we celebrate his years of service to our college and to the university. His retirement reception will be on Monday, April 24, from 2-3:30 p.m. in the lower Rotunda of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies building. A special presentation will start around 2:30 p.m.
