The Siburt Institute for Church Ministry invites you to join Randy Harris as he tackles an important question facing Christians today: Does the church really matter?  Harris, ACU Bible instructor and spiritual director for the College of Biblical Studies and the Siburt Institute, will offer his insights and perspectives on the ever-shifting attitudes toward the church in a world and at a time when the church does not hold the highest spot on the go-to list for addressing moral and spiritual decisions. Register today for the 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, lunchtime event to be held in Hunter Welcome Center. The cost is $15 per person, and registration is open through Aug. 22.

The Purple Card loyalty program has been discontinued.  If you have Purple Card loyalty points from purchases in the Campus Store, Barnes & Noble will honor those points through the end of  December 2017.  To redeem your Purple Card points, stop by the customer service desk in The Campus Store.  Please send any questions to campusstore@acu.edu.

Get ready to experience Staff Pre-Session like never before! The annual event has an all-new format this year that includes food stations, a photo booth and free T-shirts for everyone. You’ll have time to fellowship and hear an update from Dr. Phil Schubert, along with the presentation of staff awards. Mark your calendar for Aug. 17, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Teague Special Events Center. And don’t forget to wear purple to show your Wildcat pride! Offices should close or be staffed by student employees to allow all staff to attend the event.

You can access the Teague lobby by walking around the north side of Moody or by coming up the sidewalk between Teague and the SRWC.  The parking lot will still be blocked, but guests can use the sidewalk to access the lobby.

If you are interested in participating in Re|Engage, learn more by coming to the kick-off nights on Wednesday, August 9th, 16th, or 23rd at Highland Church of Christ University Classroom from 6:30-8 p.m. Free childcare will be provided for children of all ages. Join us!

Faculty, staff and families are invited to a free scrimmage at the new Wildcat Stadium on August 26^th, starting at 6 p.m. Family First will host a pre-game table at 5 p.m. with some free giveaways. Watch for more details!

Then, continue on with the fun by attending the Wildcat Week outdoor concert at the Administration Building steps, featuring live music and food trucks.

Have you registered for the wellness portal through the GPA website?  In order to receive the additional discount on your premiums next year, you will need to register for the wellness portal and possibly participate in some of the online challenges to fulfill your two additional activity requirements.  Check out our FAQ link for more information.  If you still have questions, you can contact Jessica Hall, our wellness coordinator, at jessicah@gpatpa.com.

If you are purchasing copy paper please order from the ACU Central Stores and not from Staples. The Purchasing department purchases paper by the truckload for additional savings. The Staples price per case for 30% recycled copy paper is $31.35/case, 5m/case; if you order from Central Stores you will pay $25.80/case, 5m/case. Kick off the school year with family friendly fun at Sweet Home Abilene. Enjoy food from Abilene’s best food trucks, music from Wade Bowen and Aaron Copeland, and fun carnival rides for all ages. Admission is free for ACU community. Join us on Saturday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. on the Hardin Administration Building Lawn. Sweet Home Abilene is sponsored by ACU New Student Programs and the Campus Activities Board.

ACU has an exclusive agreement with the PepsiCo. The contract allows for the sale or promotion of any product available only through PepsiCo on our campus. We ask your help and cooperation in honoring both the stated intent and the spirit of the contract. We look forward to a great partnership with PepsiCo over the term of the contract. Contract beverages such as sodas, juice, sports drinks, water, and other verity of beverages may only be purchased from PepsiCo, Central Stores, any of our dining services, The Campus Store or vending machines. These beverages cannot be purchased from any other source by purchase order, purchasing card, or donation through reimbursement. Some Pepsi products will be available from the Warehouse. All other products will have to be ordered directly from the Pepsi Cola Corporation through a Banner requisition.
