Free Christmas Movie at the Paramount

The ACU Foundation is partnering with Human Resources and Family First to offer a free showing of the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Paramount. All current and retired faculty and staff are invited, as well as family members. RSVP by Dec. 15 to let us know you’re coming.  Concession discount vouchers will be available for the first 100 guests.

Retirement Reception for Doug Foster

Please join the College of Biblical Studies as we honor Dr. Doug Foster on Monday, December 11, for his 26 years of service to our college and the university. The reception will be in the lower Rotunda (under the big globe) of the Onstead-Packer College of Biblical Studies building from 10-11:30 a.m. Words of gratitude, well wishes, and a special presentation will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Appreciation Reception for Dr. Joe Cardot

The Department of Communication and Sociology invites you to a come-and-go appreciation reception honoring Dr. Joe Cardot for his 27 years of service as department chair. Reception will be on Monday, Dec. 11th, 2-3:30 p.m., in the Sherrod building, SHB 134. Special presentation at 2:30 p.m. Come celebrate Dr. Cardot’s service to the university as he transitions back to full-time teaching in the Spring.

Retirement Reception for Dr. Anita Broxson

Please join the School of Nursing in honoring Dr. Anita Broxson as she retires after 5 years of inspirational teaching at ACU. Her reception will be on Thursday, Decmeber 14, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Hunter Welcome Center lobby. Special presentations will start around 2:30 p.m. We hope you and many alumni will be able to join us to honor her for this special occasion.

SRWC Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will have adjusted hours this week for the Thanksgiving break. Tuesday: 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. WednesdaySaturday: Closed Sunday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. Pool Hours will also be adjusted. Retirement Reception – Kay Reeves

Kay is retiring from ACU after serving in several important service roles from 1990-2017.
