The Enactus Children’s Business Fair is an opportunity for children in the Abilene community to learn and experience what it is like to own and run a business. The Griggs Center will be hosting the second annual Enactus Children’s Business Fair on March 24, 2018 on the ACU campus from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. All children between the ages of 7 and 14 are invited to participate. Dr. Kelli Gibson will address crucial questions about the relationship between Islam and Christianity. Who are the Muslims? What do they believe? How do Muslims differ from Christians? Do the two have anything in common? Why are relationships so tense and what does the future hold? An expert on Christianity in the Middle East during the origins and early history of Islam, Dr. Gibson will help us better understand the current situation in light of the past. Join Heidi Morris and Amy Boone on Thursday, Jan 25, in The Woods, 11:30-1 p.m. for a Tech-Wise Family Reading Group, sponsored by the Adams Center. Drawing on in-depth original research from the Barna Group, Andy Crouch shows readers that the choices we make about technology have consequences we may never have considered. Some of these consequences are felt by professors in university classrooms. Anyone who has felt the negative repercussions of some of these choices in their own lives or in their classrooms will find in this book a path forward to reclaiming real life in a world of devices.
