Effective Immediately: For the safety of all parties involved, all outgoing packages must be open for inspection prior to shipment. All packages containing hazardous materials must be labeled as such. Please see the following link for more information about which items could be classified as hazardous: Federal Hazardous Material Regulations. Additionally, each carrier has specific guidelines that must be followed for shipping hazardous materials. Please review the carrier specific guidelines: USPS, UPS , FedEx, and DHL.

Special Collections has many unneeded duplicate copies of old Prickly Pear yearbooks, even going back to the 1930s.  We have catalogued and preserved the best-condition copies and now have many extras we do not need.  The duplicates are gently used and are available first-come, first-serve basis while they last or until April 30.  However, we need three copies of the 1998 Prickly Pear. Do you have an extra copy of this year?  If so, please contact Mac Ice at mac.ice@acu.edu or 2144. Milliken Special Collections is located on the lower level of the library.

The deadline to vote for your Staff Senators is Tuesday, April 3. Please refer to the email sent to staff on March 20 for more information. You may also vote now.

Please join us for the ACU Undergraduate Research Festival on Tuesday March 27, in the Hunter Welcome Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Poster presentations will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Come hear undergraduates from ACU and surrounding universities present their research.

Dr. Schubert is coming to speak to Staff Senate during their regularly scheduled April meeting. We would like to invite all staff to submit questions or topics for the Senate to discuss with Dr. Schubert. On March 5, 2018, the IRS release Revenue Procedure 2018-18 to announce changes to certain tax limits for 2018, including a reduced contribution limit for health savings accounts (HSA’s). The IRS reduced the HSA contribution limit for 2018 for individuals with family HDHP (high deductible health plan) coverage by $50 to $6,850. All other HSA and HDHP limits for 2018 remain the same.  Employees whose HSA contributions will exceed the limit have two options:

1. ACU will automatically decrease your last deduction of 2018 by $50 to accommodate the change in the limit, OR
2. You can complete a new HSA Contribution Form.
