Wildcat Football Spring Work-A-Thon

by   |  03.12.18  |  Announcements, Events

The Wildcat Football Team will be volunteering our services for the 2nd Annual Spring Clean-Up around the city of Abilene on Saturday, April 21st. It is a fundraising event, we have already mailed out donation letters to ask for sponsorships. We are looking for yards in Abilene to help clean-up. Our main goal is to help the elderly and/or those who need help but cannot afford it. We will do things such as rake leaves, pick up garbage, move unwanted items to the curb, sweep out garages, spread mulch, and other miscellaneous outdoor projects along those lines. If you know of anyone that would be interested in our help please get back to me as soon as possible. Also, if you know anyone else that may be interested or if you would like our help, we would be more than willing to help for a donation in kind to the ACU Football Team. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact Blake Anderson, Asst. Football Coach, at bpa17a@acu.edu.

Benefits Tip: Updated IRS Tax Withholding Calculator

by   |  03.05.18  |  Announcements, Benefits

The IRS has released an updated tax withholding calculator on IRS.gov and issued a new Form W-4 Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, which has the new calculation information included. Employees can use the online calculator to check their 2018 tax withholding following the passage of the TaxCuts and Jobs Act in December.

The IRS also posted new Withholding Calculator Frequently Asked Questions. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act made changes to the tax law, including increasing the standard deduction, removing personal exemptions, increasing the child tax credit, limiting or discontinuing certain deductions, and changing the tax rates and income brackets.

If you determine that you would like to change your withholding allowance, you can do so by going to your myACU Banner link, then select Employee, Tax Forms, W-4 Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate, and then choose the Update link along the bottom of the screen.

Please be advised that ACU Human Resources cannot provide any tax advice. If you require additional assistance, please consult your tax professional.
